Starwors in a nutshell...
We are a glamping campground located in the heart of the Bulb Capital of the World, Nieuwoudtville. Whether you are a family or a group of friends, we are here to make your stay at Starwors memorable. Our campgrounds are the perfect getaway to a new stress-free secret base on a remote camp on planet Hantam near Nieuwoudtville called “Starwors”. It is here where an epic battle took place between the evil Imperial “stormpoopers” and a small number of Jedi Knights. Evidence of this battle can be seen at Starwors. Pull in, ease back and take a load off.
Each campsite has its own bathroom, 6m x 4m covered and paved Lapa with a braai, washbasin, hot water and lights in all bathrooms and private Lapa’s, 12V and USB power for camp fridges and phones (unfortunately, no 220V power points are available), 5 x Toilets and an 8-seater water splash pool for communal use.
We are wheelchair friendly, and your pets are welcome when arranged. We offer a carefree vacation in the great outdoors. Enjoy robust recreation in the clean fresh air, kick back and relax by the communal splash pool, or braai your favorite “WORS” recipes, all while never leaving the campground. It’s the ultimate glamping camping getaway.
CAMPGROUND RULES
- Enjoy every moment!!!
- If you find a gate open or closed please leave it the way you found it.
- No noise or loud music after 10pm please.
- Please switch off your fridge if connected to the provided 12V power supply at night to save some battery power during the night. We are on a solar system and cloudy day may not charge the batteries completely full.
- Check in starts at 14h00 - 16h30 and check out is before 10h00am.
- Have respect for each other and your neighbouring campers.
- Please return your keys in the specified camp safe at the exit gate before you leave.
- Please do not remove the braai grid from the braai area. R500 Penalty will be charged.
- Only 8 people allowed per camping site, if not arranged in advance.
- No one day bookings allowed during Christmas and Easter holidays
- No day visitors allowed.
- There is a R500 PENALTY if you don't return the keys.
- Please do not camp in the road.
- No plants/rocks/animals/reptiles/insects/decorations to leave or enter the area.
- Please bring your own towels.
- Please be considerate to other campers when using the splash pool. Please do not occupy the splash pool for longer than 2 hours at one time. Be reasonable and fair to your fellow campers.
- Please throw ALL waste material in the rubbish bins provided.
- Please leave the campgrounds the same way you found it. Clean and tidy.
- We just want to give you a heads up that we have a cleaning fee for campsite bookings totaling R350 or less (Please see our rates tab).
- For a small daily fee you can immerse yourself in a private wood-fired hot tub. Please note that the use of the hot tub is at your own risk, but we promise it's worth it.
- Search thoroughly for all your tent pegs before departure.
- If arrangements were made to bring your pets, please make sure that they do not disturb fellow campers or any farm animals. Please also clean up after them.
- Please only use the designated braai areas to make a fire. Please be very careful with any open fires and extinguish them properly before bedtime.
- Please only wash your dishes in the Lapa washbasin and NOT in the bathrooms.
- Please refrain from any feeding or trying to catch any farm or wild animals.
- PLEASE DO NOT dump any baby diapers or sanitary wear etc in toilets. This will block our septic tank.
- Parents and guardians stay responsible for their children's actions as well as their safety.
- Please watch where you walk and keep a watchful eye out for snakes and scorpions. You are in nature and in their territory.
- Please note the location of the fire extinguishers as well as how they operate to extinguish any fires that are out of control. Please do not use the fire extinguishers for any other purpose, as this can be a danger to others.

- Geen geraas of harde musiek na 22h00 nie.
- Skakel u yskas af as u snags met die 12V kragtoevoer gekoppel is om 'n bietjie battery krag gedurende die nag te bespaar. Ons is op 'n sonnestelsel en bewolkte dae kan die batterye nie heeltemal vol laai nie.
- Inklok tyd begin om 14h00 - 16h30 en uitklok tyd is voor 10h00am.
- Toon respek vir u mede kampeerders.
- Plaas asseblief u sleutels terug in die gespesifiseerde kamp kluis by die uitgang hek voordat u vertrek.
- Moet asseblief nie die braai rooster uit die braai area verwyder nie. R500 Boete word gehef.
- Slegs 8 persone word toegelaat per kampeerterrein, indien dit nie vooraf gereel is nie.
- Geen een dag besprekings toegelaat gedurende Kersfees en Paasfees vakansies nie.
- Geen dagbesoekers toegelaat nie.
- Daar is 'n boete van R500 as u nie die sleutels terugbesorg nie.
- Moet asseblief nie in die pad kampeer nie.
- Geen plante/rotse/reptiele/insekte/versierings mag die kampterrein verlaat nie.
- Bring asseblief u eie handdoeke.
- Wees bedagsaam teenoor ander kampeerders wanneer u die plons poel gebruik. Moenie die plons poel langer as 2 uur op 'n slag beset nie. Wees redelik teenoor u mede kampeerders.
- Gooi ALLE afvalmateriaal in die vullis dromme wat voorsien word.
- Verlaat die kampterrein op dieselfde manier as wat u dit gevind het. Skoon en netjies.
- Ons wil net vir jou uitwys dat daar 'n skoonmaakfooi vir kampeerplek besprekings wat R350 of minder beloop (Sien ons Tarriewe seksie).
- Vir klein daaglikse fooi kan jy jouself onderdompel in 'n privaat houtgevuurde warm bad. Let asseblief daarop dat die gebruik van die warm bad op jou eie risiko is, maar ons belowe dit is die moeite werd.
- Soek deeglik na al u tentpenne voor u vertrek.
- Indien reëlings getref is om u troeteldiere saam te bring, moet u seker maak dat dit nie mede kampeerders of plaasdiere steur nie. Maak ook skoon agter hulle asb.
- Gebruik slegs die aangewese braai -areas om vuur te maak. Wees baie versigtig met oop vure en blus dit behoorlik voor slaaptyd. Ons veld brand baie maklik as dit droog is en die diere kan nie vlug nie.
- Was u skottelgoed net in die Lapa se wasbak en NIE in die badkamers nie.
- Vermy die voer van 'n plaas of wilde dier.
- MOET ASSEBLIEF geen baba doeke of sanitêre drag ens. in toilette gooi nie. Dit sal ons septiese tenk blokkeer.
- Ouers en voogde bly verantwoordelik vir hul kinders se optrede sowel as hul veiligheid.
- Let op waar jy loop en hou 'n wakende oog vir slange en skerpioene. U is in die natuur en in hul gebied.
- Let op die ligging van die brandblussers, asook hoe hulle werk om brande wat buite beheer is te blus. Moet asseblief nie die brandblussers vir enige ander doel gebruik nie, aangesien dit 'n gevaar vir ander kan wees.

Frequently Asked Questions
Nieuwoudtville is only 3km away with places to eat, a butchery and a SaveMore groceries store. We do however sell wors, ice and firewood. Please note the nearest hospital is in Vredendal [027 213 2039]. No doctor in Nieuwoudtville.
The maximum number of campers allowed per tent site is 8. The minimum amount of campers suggested per campsite is two, however, one camper is allowed per campsite, but will be charged the price of two campers.
We do provide 12V and USB power for camp fridges and phones (unfortunately, no 220V power points are available).
